Ivoclar Vivadent reports continued growth in 2016
Ivoclar Vivadent has announced its financial results for 2016, during which it recorded a revenue total of 775 million Swiss francs (625.23 million pounds).
This represents a 2.1 percent year-on-year increase, or a 0.6 percent rise in local currency terms. Its strongest growth drivers were products and systems for dental practices, including filling and luting materials, adhesives, clinical equipment and accessories.
Performance varied between territories, with positive results in regions such as Europe, Latin America and Asia-Pacific helping to offset the difficulties experienced in the North American market.
The firm was able to generate a number of new jobs during the year, with its workforce expanding to include 3,467 full-time employees worldwide – an increase of 170 people compared to the end of 2015.
In 2017, Ivoclar Vivadent will introduce a new CAD/CAM range called Ivoclar Digital and expand its facilities in Schaan, Burs and Somerset.
Robert Ganley, chief executive officer of Ivoclar Vivadent, said: "We plan to enhance our customer-focused market strength significantly with the introduction of Ivoclar Digital. This is a unique new digital product portfolio based on our core competences in digital materials and digital processes."
