Ivoclar Vivadent reports strong 2010 growth

24th March 2011

Ivoclar Vivadent has expressed satisfaction with its financial growth during the 2010 business year.

The dental supplies manufacturer was able to increase its total trade sales figure to 659 million Swiss francs (449.2 million pounds) in the last year, up by 9.5 percent on 2009, while achieving double-digit growth in all markets.

Its all-ceramics business unit proved to be its most important driver of growth thanks to the rising prevalence of high-strength and high-esthetic metal-free solutions, with its IPS e.max seeing particular traction.

Robert Ganley, chief executive officer of Ivoclar Vivadent, said the launch of new products in this area – as well as in filling materials, implant prosthetics and equipment – will help to drive further growth in 2011.

"We will also continue our expansion into new markets and strengthening current market organisations," he said.

This comes in the same week the company unveiled the IPS e.max Press Multi, a new polychromatic press ingot that allows for the rapid creation of authentic-looking esthetic restorations.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800475115-ADNFCR
