Ivoclar Vivadent unveils OptraStick

3rd October 2008

Ivoclar Vivadent has announced the launch of OptraStick, which is aimed at making the handling of indirect restorations much easier for professionals.

OptraStick is the successor to previous application product VivaStick. The company developed OptraStick as it can be very difficult to position, pick up and place restoration materials.

However, dentists and dental technicians may find this process easier with the new Ivoclar Vivadent product.

Features include a flexible adhesive tip and a plastic body, enabling professionals to easily pick up and place indirect restorations constructed from different materials such as ceramic inlays and IPS e.max veneers.

“Using the OptraStick will greatly facilitate the course of clinical treatment,” Ivoclar Vivadent said in a press release.

July this year saw the company introduce its press and ceramic furnace, the Programat EP 3000.

The product includes 220 firing programmes and automatic temperature calibration in addition to a graphic display and detachable furnace head.

Ivoclar Vivadent’s business unit manager Robert Grunenfelder explained: “The Programat EP 3000 provides a multitude of additional functions at an attractive price/performance ratio.”
