Janssen wins three awards for marketing work at PMEA Awards

10th December 2013

Janssen has won three prizes at the 2013 PMEA Awards, presented annually by the PMGroup to recognise excellence, best practice and innovation in the European healthcare marketing sector.

The pharmaceutical company won the inVentiv Health Communications-sponsored Award for excellence in healthcare collaboration and partnerships and the KnowledgePoint360-backed special award for innovation, in honour of its Maintaining Adherence Programme.

Supported by Havas Lynx, this programme saw Janssen work with South Essex Partnership University to utilise digital methods to improve medicine adherence for patients with schizophrenia, bipolar and affective disorders.

Janssen's overall achievements during 2013 also saw it earn the Accenture Award for PMEA Company of the Year.

The judging panel said: "Janssen used an innovative approach which improved adherence, reduced exacerbations and admissions and produced real outcomes for the community."

A division of Johnson and Johnson, it is estimated that medicines developed by Janssen are used to treat 1.5 billion patients each year.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801670705-ADNFCR
