Johnson and Johnson launches Digital Beauty QuickFire Challenge

14th November 2017

Johnson and Johnson has announced the launch of a new challenge that aims to encourage smaller companies to devise innovative skincare solutions.

The Digital Beauty QuickFire Challenge will see start-up companies working to create novel, forward-thinking digital beauty solutions to help provide better skincare outcomes for consumers worldwide.

It will focus on three main areas: insight-generating tools to help consumers to make better-informed skincare choices, impact-tracking devices and adherence solutions to aid skin health management, and digital technologies or devices to increase the efficacy of conditions such as acne, photoaging and eczema.

Winners will receive up to a total of $50,000 (38,110 pounds) in funding to help advance their product prototypes toward commercialisation, as well as access to a network of experts and direct support from Johnson and Johnson.

Sebastien Guillon, president of global beauty at Johnson and Johnson Consumer, said: "The next beauty tech disrupters are out there, and this challenge will help us identify the most promising potential partners in the co-creation of meaningful, future-forward skin solutions."
