Johnson and Johnson launches new eye redness treatment

13th July 2010

Johnson and Johnson has released a new Visine eye drop product which is designed to provide relief from eye redness.

The New Visine Maximum Redness Relief Formula has been optimised by the manufacturer to deliver hydration to eyes which mimics the effect of natural tears.

It does so via the use of the company’s Hydroblend formula, which relieves irritation and provides moisturisation for its users for around ten hours.

Johnson and Johnson states that the product has been introduced in response to concerns among consumers over the common condition, which can be caused by external irritation from smoke or from a lack of sleep.

It stated: “Red eyes impact not only how people feel physically and about how they look, but they also have been shown to impact how people view each other.”

Last month, Johnson and Johnson revealed plans to expand its consumer health range in the coming year with several new products, including additions to brands such as OneTouch and Acuvue.
