Johnson and Johnson releases 2016 Health for Humanity report

26th June 2017

Johnson and Johnson has announced the launch of a new report highlighting its recent achievements on environmental, social and governance measures.

The company's 2016 Health for Humanity report noted that last year, the firm launches a new Global Public Health Strategy and placed second in the Access to Medicines Index, underlining its commitment to improving access to medicines in developing countries.

It also formed a new partnership with the C40 Climate Leadership Group and concluded a 100 MW wind power purchase agreement, which will help the organisation meet its renewable energy consumption target ahead of schedule.

Additionally, Johnson and Johnson tripled supplier engagement for its Sustainable Procurement Program compared to the year before, and achieved close to 50 percent of its five-year target to engage and empower 100,000 employees to take charge of their health and wellbeing by using digital tools.

Alex Gorsky, chairman and chief executive officer at Johnson and Johnson, said: "Our Health for Humanity 2020 Goals serve to ground our business operations so that we remain acutely focused on building enduring outcomes that change the trajectory of human health."
