Johnson and Johnson wins Intermountain Healthcare supplier awards

Johnson and Johnson has been presented with two supplier awards from Intermountain Healthcare.

The Johnson and Johnson Medical Devices Companies business won Intermountain's 2017 supply chain excellence award for excellence in supply chain efficiency and innovation. Meanwhile, the group's subsidiary Sterilmed won the 2017 corporate social responsibility award for its efforts to make a positive social and environmental impact in local communities.

Johnson and Johnson has been working with Intermountain to standardise products and processes, as well as to define cooperative programmes to reduce stock shortages, improve lead times and optimise ordering.

These optimisation efforts have allowed Intermountain to reduce the number of different products it orders, cut dock-to-stock times from 48 to four hours, minimise product lead times and achieve improved supply chain transparency.
