Ketchum names new UK healthcare and medical education heads

Ketchum has announced the appointment of Kate Paxton and Neil McLelland to key leadership roles within its healthcare team.

Ms Paxton has been named as director of the agency's healthcare practice in London, moving to the UK after previously heading Ketchum's Washington DC practice in the US. She has been with the organisation for 16 years.

Meanwhile, Mr McLelland – a former executive director at Virgo Health Education – has joined Ketchum in the new role of director of Inspired Science, the agency's medical education offering.

He has worked in health and science-related PR for several years, with previous roles including senior vice-president for medical education at MedErgy Communications, and client services director at Ogilvy Healthworld.

Both Ms Paxton and Mr McLelland will report into Jo-ann Robertson, partner and deputy chief executive of Ketchum London.
