Ketchum wins UK PR brief with RingCentral

Ketchum has won a new UK PR brief with RingCentral, a cloud communications company that was recently listed on the New York Stock Exchange.

The agency has been tasked with bolstering the client's profile in the business community and explaining the benefits of its cloud communications technology, including the cloud-based business phone system it recently launched in the UK, reports Gorkana.

RingCentral is making its big PR push at a time when cloud technology is playing an increasingly important role in the day-to-day operations of British businesses. Many already use the cloud for storage, security, email and other services.

However, business phone systems are one of the last and most important functions to move to the cloud, meaning RingCentral has a significant business opportunity in this field.

David Vindel, managing director for European technology at Ketchum, said: "We are going to really focus on making RingCentral a de facto choice for UK businesses to remain competitive."

Ketchum's European technology portfolio has included brands such as IBM, Nokia and Google. Mr Vindel, who has been with the company since 2012, will play a key role on the new contract.
