Kimberly-Clark appoints global media director

Kimberly-Clark has created a new position of global media director ? and has named the post-holder as Mark A Kaline.

Mr Kaline, described as a “veteran” of the Ford company by Brandweek, will join the company’s Global Marketing Organisation from October 20th.

The group was founded last April and is concerned with developing initiatives for building global brands as well as best practice in different units of the business, according to the news source.

Chief marketing officer Tony Palmer said he was “confident” Mr Kaline “will play a key role” in the Global Marketing Organisation’s plan to make Kimberly-Clark into “a legendary marketer”.

He commented: “Mark, with his industry background and proven success of working on many well-respected global brands, brings a wealth of media and communications planning expertise [to the group].”

Kimberly-Clark’s over-the-counter products include Kleenex and Huggies, while it also produces surgical face masks, gowns and drapes. It claims to be the world’s number one and two provider of these items.
