Kimberly-Clark sees fourth quarter and full-year growth

27th January 2011

Kimberly-Clark has published its year-end financial results for 2010, highlighting annual growth trends in both the fourth quarter and full-year periods.

Net sales for the final three months of the year came to $5.1 billion (3.19 million pounds), up by two percent year-on-year and contributing to a 12-month total of $19.7 billion, a three percent improvement on 2009.

For the fourth quarter, the company saw growth in its personal care, consumer tissue and KC Professional divisions, while it has also made continued progress with the acquisition and integration of I-Flow.

Kimberly-Clark now expects to see a further net sales increase of three to four percent in 2011, as well as an adjusted operating profit rise of three to five percent.

Chairman and chief executive officer Thomas Falk said: "Even though we expect the environment to remain difficult, I'm encouraged by our prospects in 2011 while we take further actions to strengthen our company and improve returns to shareholders."

Last month, the company became a signatory of the United Nations Global Compact, which is the largest corporate citizenship and sustainability initiative in the world.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800369464-ADNFCR
