Lab M launches new Pinnacle pre-poured media plates

Lab M has expanded its range of prepared microbiological culture media offerings with the launch of its new Pinnacle brand.

The new line of pre-poured plates incorporate Lab M's expertise in the development and production of dehydrated culture media products, as well as benefiting from the expanded plate-pouring capabilities offered by its new UK headquarters.

Initial Pinnacle product offerings will be focused on food industry applications, including Listeria Chromogenic Agar for the isolation of Listeria monocytogenes and Tryptone Bile Glucuronide Agar for the isolation of E. coli.

Forthcoming offerings will include CSIM for the isolation of Cronobacter sakazakii from milk and milk products and chromogenic ABC medium for identifying Salmonellae.

Ian Morris, Lab M's managing director, said: "Our DCM products are used around the world by commercial plate pourers, and here at Lab M, we too have always poured a selected range of media for individual customers and for specific applications."

The firm completed its move to new headquarters in Greater Manchester in 2012 and has grown considerably since then.
