Lab M receives praise for quality standards at new headquarters

Lab M has highlighted the praise it has received for the programme of continuous quality improvement it has implemented at its new headquarters in Heywood.

Since moving into its new commercial base and manufacturing centre in Greater Manchester last July, the life science firm has implemented enhanced quality systems, in keeping with the principles of Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP).

Full inspections of the premises, products and processes – including all documentation, procedures and training records – have resulted in highly positive outcomes.

Technical assessors have observed that the building's layout and process flow are all working to expectations, while its document structure and quality system are meeting Lab M's requirements.

Lyn Richards, Lab M's quality assurance and regulatory affairs manager, said: "Our new facility was designed specifically to follow GMP principles and our whole quality system has been developed to conform to this best practice."

Last month, the company strengthened its senior team with the appointment of new operations manager Tim Down, a veteran of the water industry.
