Lab M showcases new culture media offerings at trade event

16th February 2011

Lab M has demonstrated a number of its new offerings for the microbiological culture media market at a European industry conference.

The company attended the HuLST Food and Beverage Test Expo in Cologne this month to showcase its forthcoming product portfolio and meet with scientists from research and testing laboratories.

Among the items on display was the Differential Reinforced Clostridial Medium ISO, which is designed to detect spores of sulphite-reducing anaerobes to indicate faecal contamination.

The company also demonstrated a new Staphylococcus aureus enrichment broth, Harlequin chromogenic media and MacConkey agars, as well as its Dichloran Rose Bengal Chloramphenicol Agar for yeasts and moulds.

Lab M sales and marketing manager Phil Large said: "We were pleased to receive a great response to the most recent additions to our culture media range."

Earlier this month, the company announced the launch of Modified Giolitti and Cantoni Broth, a microbiological culture medium for detecting coagulase-positive staphylococci.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800409336-ADNFCR
