LifeScan launches OneTouch VerioIQ System for diabetes management

11th January 2012

LifeScan has announced the launch of its new OneTouch VerioIQ System with PatternAlert Technology, an easy-to-use blood sugar measurement device.

The new product is designed for use by patients who take insulin and measure blood glucose levels to adjust their dosages, as this group is at a high risk of experiencing hypoglycaemia.

It is the first product of its kind to automatically detect trends and patterns in blood sugar levels and display them on screen, making it easier for users to alter their behaviour accordingly.

Michael Pfeifer, chief medical officer at LifeScan, said: "By analysing the information after each test and identifying patterns as they occur, this system helps patients and their healthcare professionals focus on fixing a potential problem instead of trying to find it."

The new product will join other blood glucose monitoring products in the OneTouch range such as OneTouch Verio Pro, OneTouch Vita and OneTouch UltraEasy.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801261658-ADNFCR
