Lilly seeks new public affairs agency for UK business

10th February 2015

Lilly has announced that it will be seeking a new public affairs agency partner, with pitches anticipated to take place during April.

According to PRWeek, the company will look beyond specialist pharmaceutical agencies for the brief, which will include government affairs, public policy, corporate and crisis comms. Hanover has held the brief for the past four years and will be invited to pitch again.

The process is to be conducted by Lilly's head of government affairs Corinna Peachey, the company has confirmed.

A spokeswoman for the firm said: "After four successful years with one agency, Lilly has decided to go back to the market, in line with good sourcing practice."

Lilly is the world's tenth largest pharmaceutical group and currently operates four sites in the UK, with its second-largest global research site being located in Surrey. This facility is used to carry out the bulk of the company's research into Alzheimer's disease.

It has been operating in Britain since 1934 and considers the country to be a key market.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801774642-ADNFCR
