L’Oreal gains rights to spring water-based personal care range through Rivadis deal

18th July 2016

L'Oreal has made a firm offer to Rivadis Group for the acquisition of the Societe des Thermes de Saint-Gervais-les-Bains.

Based on this offer, the Rivadis Group has granted exclusive negotiation rights to L'Oreal for the planned deal, which will give L'Oreal the licence to use the Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc brand.

Saint-Gervais Mont-Blanc products are formulated with 100 percent Mont Blanc thermal spring water, which is protected by a unique ecosystem and is considered to be naturally soothing and beneficial to health.

The products also include natural extracts of Alpine plants, with a range of different offerings for the care and protection of the face and body.

Based on this agreement, L'Oreal expects the acquisition to be completed in the next few months, following approval by the municipality of Saint-Gervais-les-Bains and a consultation process with Rivadis Group's employees.

Earlier this month, the company announced the appointment of Jean-Louis Kibort as its new head of security, joining L'Oreal from Total.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801821954-ADNFCR
