It is reported that the company, which deals in the development, production, marketing and sale of psychiatric and neurological treatments, has announced that last year was a period of significant growth and that this is expected to continue in 2008.

Lundbeck recorded revenue increases of around 17 per cent year-on-year with profit from operations witnessing growth across a number of product areas.

Commenting on the results, the firm’s president and chief executive officer Claus Braestrup said that the situation was “very satisfactory” and that the financial results were positive across all areas of Lundbeck’s business.

“This satisfactory performance provides a strong foundation for continuing the development of our broad research and development pipeline of pharmaceutical candidates,” he said.
