Lupin Ltd has published a financial report for its 2010-11 financial year, during which it experienced double-digit year-on-year growth.

The generics specialist saw its net sales rise by 20 percent in the 12 months ending March 31st 2011, up to 57.1 billion rupees (782.68 million pounds), while net profits and earnings also experienced increases of 27 percent and 20 percent respectively.

During the year, the company saw strong growth across all of its business units, while making numerous investments into product launches, licence agreements and new therapy segments.

Europe was a key recipient of these investments, with 33 marketing authorisation applications filed with regulators in the territory during the period.

Dr Kamal Sharma, managing director for Lupin, said: "These would not only go a long way in improving the quality of our business but would also enable us to deliver strong growth and profitability in the years to come."
