Marie Curie Cancer Care names new comms head

18th November 2014

Marie Curie Cancer Care has announced the appointment of Jude Bridge as the head of its newly-merged marketing, fundraising, comms, and policy and public affairs departments.

Ms Bridge will join the charity in the new year to head up this directorate, having previously served as global brand and marketing director for Mothercare. Other former employers include Save the Children, Marks and Spencer, Publicis and Unilever.

She has experience of working on a number of major campaigns, including the Your M&S initiative for Marks and Spencer and the No Child Born to Die campaign at Save the Children.

Her commercial background will be useful to the charity at a time when it is rebranding and restructuring in order to increase its public profile.

Dr Jane Collins, chief executive of Marie Curie, said: "Jude's marketing skills and general management experience, gained in both commercial and charitable sectors, will be of immense benefit to Marie Curie."

The charity is dedicated to providing care for people with terminal illnesses and has a network of nearly 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses working in the homes of terminally ill patients across the UK.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801760836-ADNFCR
