Marlin PR wins brief with food sharing app Olio

26th January 2016

Marlin PR has been handed a new brief by Olio, a new mobile app that encourages food sharing to help reduce wastage.

The agency has been hired for a six-month project following a competitive pitch, covering consumer and corporate PR needs. This encompasses corporate and technology profiling, user evidence, feature pitching, news hijacking and event support, reports Gorkana.

Currently, the service is only available in the Greater London area, but the client is also targeting growth across the rest of the UK and has hired Marlin PR on the basis of its strategic approach and understanding of the brief.

The app is designed to help neighbours and local shops share surplus food and avoid unnecessary waste.

Ben Philipson, company director at Marlin PR, said: "We are delighted to be working with Olio – another innovative technology company that is looking to help solve the serious social and environmental issue of food waste."

The agency has experience of working with leading tech brands such as Sage, Tumblr, Sony, Yahoo! and Slack.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801810970-ADNFCR
