Marlin PR wins brief with online auction house Catawiki
Marlin PR has won a new brief to drive brand awareness of the online auction house Catawiki in the UK.
The client was recently cited as the world's fastest-growing technology company in Deloitte's Technology Fast 500 ranking and hosts weekly auctions in 80 categories including collectibles, curios and classic cars, reports Gorkana.
Marlin PR was selected for the brief following a three-way competitive pitch and has initiated a partnership with American fashion designer Johny Dar to deliver a celebrity-led charity campaign for the brand, entitled Jeans for Refugees.
This initiative will see 100 celebrities including Emma Watson, Kate Moss, Ryan Gosling and Sir Elton John donating second-hand jeans painted with unique patterns, which will be offered for auction on Catawiki to raise funds for the International Rescue Committee.
Ben Philipson, director at Marlin PR, said: "Our approach will promote the uniqueness of the Catawiki brand and open consumers' eyes to an entirely new way of finding special objects through innovative news hijacks that capture the zeitgeist."
Catawiki claims to auction off around 30,000 objects every week and is seeking to stimulate further growth through its work with Marlin PR.
