Mash PR wins new brief with National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society

27th February 2017

Mash PR has been handed a new retained brief by the National Rheumatoid Arthritis Society (NRAS), following a search by the agency for a charity partner.

The NRAS has tasked Mash PR with helping to raise awareness of both rheumatoid arthritis and juvenile idiopathic arthritis, as well as shining a spotlight on the charity's work in this field.

Mash PR is working on a 50:50 part pro-bono basis to offer services that will include influencer relations, fundraising, media relations, public affairs, lobbying, social media and events support.

The two organisations have already started working together, with plans in place to launch their first joint press campaigns later this month. These will be used to support Rheumatoid Arthritis Awareness Week, which runs from June 19th to 25th this year.

Stu Campbell-Carran, chief executive officer at Mash PR, said: "Awareness of rheumatoid arthritis in the UK is very low and there is also a great deal of confusion as to what the condition actually is, as it is so frequently confused with osteoarthritis."

NRAS has a staff team of 25 and counts prime minister Theresa May – the MP for Maidenhead, where the charity is headquartered – among its patrons.
