Mawdsleys to open new pre-wholesale site in Yorkshire

Mawdsleys has completed the purchase of a brand new 18-acre site in Yorkshire to accommodate the growth of Mawdsleys Pre-Wholesale, its third-party logistics service.

Work has now commenced on phase one of the development of the new site, with a 150,000 sq ft warehouse to be constructed that offers full air control systems and a fit-out that complies with the latest Medicines and Healthcare Products Regulatory Agency regulations.

This will significantly increase the group's resources dedicated to pre-wholesale, with the site offering the potential to extend the building by a further 150,000 sq ft to cater to the future demands of its customer base.

Mawdsleys Pre-Wholesale has been providing bespoke third-party storage and distribution services to the pharmaceutical industry for more than a decade, with the purchase of the new Yorkshire site set to strengthen these capabilities further.

The company said: "The expansion will give peace of mind to our current clients that we are investing in the future to support their businesses. We will also be in a very strong position to offer our services to new companies."
