McCann Health appoints new EMEA president

McCann Health has announced the appointment of Charlie Buckwell as its new president for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, succeeding Michel Nakache.

Mr Buckwell boasts more than two decades of biopharmaceutical marketing and comms experience, having led the McCann Complete Medical and Double Helix businesses. He will continue to head up McCann Complete Medical following this appointment.

He has been selected to replace Mr Nakache following the latter's promotion to the newly-created role of president of the company's global clients unit, offering customised multi-market solutions to customers worldwide.

Additionally, Simon Holt has been appointed to the newly-created position of chief business strategy officer. He joins the company from Novartis and will also take over Mr Buckwell's former post as leader of the Double Helix Consulting and Double Helix Discovery units.
