McCann Health names new global medical director
McCann Health has further strengthened its leadership team with the appointment of Daniel Carucci as its new global medical director.
Dr Carucci will be based in New York and New Jersey, with responsibilities spanning the entire global McCann Health network in this newly-created role. He will be tasked with leveraging his extensive industry experience to boost the agency's scientific credentials.
Over the last 25 years, Dr Carucci has worked on large-scale innovation programmes, vaccine development, organisational leadership and global public health, including time spent as vice-president for global health at the United Nations Foundation.
He has also worked with McCann as a consultant for seven years, during which time he helped to co-create the agency's acclaimed Immunity Charm public health campaigns.
John Cahill, McCann Health's global chief executive officer, said: "His in-depth understanding of the scientific method and practical rationale will enable McCann Health to more effectively close the critical evidence-to-practice gap and give greater purpose to science across a broader array of stakeholders."
The agency has also recently created new global chief operating officer and chief digital officer roles, to be occupied by Linda Szyper and Marcus Sigurdsson, respectively.
