Medtronic names among world’s most admired companies

Medtronic has been listed as the second-most admired company within the medical products and equipment industry by Fortune magazine.

The publication compiles its list of the most admired businesses in the world each year by surveying top executives and board members from major corporations, along with leading financial analysts.

Companies are scored in nine key areas, including management quality, standard of products and services, innovation, value as a long-term investment, soundness of financial position, talent retention, community responsibility and wise use of corporate assets.

It is considered one of the leading measures of corporate reputation among leading global businesses.

The firm was also recently ranked as one of the most meaningful companies to work for by Business Insider, and listed by ComputerWorld as one of the best places to work in IT.
