Medtronic presents positive long-term data for Endurant AAA stent system

25th April 2014

Medtronic has presented new clinical data at a London event demonstrating the exceptional long-term performance of its Endurant AAA stent graft system.

Attending the 2014 Charing Cross international symposium, the company shared data from the Pandora and Engage studies, both of which underlined the stent's efficacy in the endovascular treatment of abdominal aortic aneurysms.

The studies were distinct in terms of size, scale and scope, but the two datasets affirmed the Endurant stent graft's durable, consistent and proven outcomes across a broad spectrum of patient types and anatomical features.

For example, it delivered low rates of aneurysm-related mortality and reintervention, stent graft migration and conversion to open surgery through three to five years of follow-up.

Professor Giovanni Torsello from St Franziskus Hospital in Meunster, who presented the data from Pandora, said: "The long-term data reinforces the clinical leadership of the Endurant stent graft in an all-comer patient population."

This comes after the firm reported positive data from a new study of its IN.PACT Admiral drug-coated balloon earlier this month.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801715239-ADNFCR
