Merck Millipore launches new hydrophilic sterilising-grade filters

Merck Millipore has announced the launch of its new Millipore Express PHF hydrophilic sterilising-grade filters.

Designed for fast, efficient and economical buffer filtration, the single layer, fast-flowing membrane filters are ideal for buffers, pH adjusters and other process additives and intermediate fluids, as well as cleaning fluids.

Their single-use gamma-ready filters are available in a fully scalable range of sizes from 25 mm to 76.2 cm cartridges, providing high-flux performance and improved process economics.

Other key advantages include their superior process efficiency and economy, while their faster flow rates allow users to accelerate their processes with the same size filter or reduce their process footprint with a smaller filter.

Andrew Bulpin, vice-president of process solutions at Merck Millipore, said: "With a fast flowing membrane design, Millipore Express PHF filters can be used to accelerate current processes or run the same process with a smaller filter footprint."

The company also announced last week that it has formed a new strategic alliance with Turgut Ilac, a leading biosimilars company based in Turkey.
