Merck Millipore launches Steritest Symbio Pumps for sterility testing

Merck Millipore has announced the launch of its new Steritest Symbio Pumps, which aim to improve the ease, safety and reliability of sterility testing for pharmaceutical products.

Designed for laminar flow hood, isolator and clean room applications, the Steritest Symbio Pumps have been specifically developed to address stringent pharmaceutical testing requirements.

Their compact housing design ensures ease of access and frees up working space, while the ergonomic pump head ensures quick introduction of filtration units and removes the risk of pinched gloves. Other key features include a highly precise timer function and dedicated test management software.

Steritest Symbio Pumps will be of use to companies in the pharmaceutical production sector, as sterility testing is a critical aspect of this process.

This comes after the firm recently announced a new biopharmaceutical manufacturing partnership with Samsung BioLogics last month.
