Merck Millipore receives two awards for innovative products

Merck Millipore has announced that two of its most technically advanced products have earned R&D Magazine 100 Awards.

Honouring the most technologically significant products introduced into the marketplace over the past year, the awards recognised Merck Millipore's SmartFlare detection reagent and Clarisolve depth filters for this year's edition.

SmartFlare is a novel probe capable of detecting specific mRNAs and miRNAs in live, intact cells, allowing multiple biomarkers or downstream functionalities to be assessed in the same cell.

Meanwhile, the Clarisolve depth filters were designed for high cell density/titer mammalian cell culture feed streams for mAb production, while also demonstrating early success in microbial and vaccine applications.

Last month, the company expanded its product range with the launch of its new Steritest Symbio Pumps, for use in sterility testing of pharmaceutical products.
