Merck Millipore rolls out enhanced Emprove raw materials

Merck Millipore has announced the launch of new enhancements to its industry-leading Emprove portfolio of pharmaceutical raw materials.

Expanded documentation and regulatory information is being released to facilitate drug product manufacturers' risk assessment workflows and supplier qualification. The enhancements will also help drug product manufacturers meet their own internal quality guidelines as well as those recently published by the European Commission.

Approximately 400 raw and starting materials used in the manufacture of drug products are encompassed by this portfolio, including excipients, process chemicals and active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Emprove Essential products target moderate-risk level applications, while Emprove Expert products are specified for higher-risk applications and Emprove API products provide quality and regulatory documentation required for active pharmaceutical ingredients.

Andrew Bulpin, executive vice-president for process solutions at Merck Millipore, said: "With these enhancements, customers can continue to rely on the Emprove documentation to guide, facilitate and speed their process of qualifying raw materials from Merck Millipore."

Additionally, the company has launched a new Emprove Suite website, offering product information and dossiers for the entire Emprove portfolio and enabling direct 24/7 access to comprehensive regulatory information.
