Merck Serono wins acclaim for employee relations
Merck Serono has been named by an industry publication as one of the top places to work among life science organisations in biotechnology and pharmaceuticals.
The Scientist magazine ranked the healthcare company in 24th place out of more than 240 surveyed companies in a list compiled for its May issue.
This strong performance in the ranking was based on the quality of training and development which Merck Serono offers to its staff, as well as its remuneration and benefits infrastructure.
Bernhard Kirschbaum, head of global research and development at Merck Serono, said the company was honoured to receive the recognition.
He added: “Our employees play a critical role in ensuring that we strengthen our reputation as a leader in the industry and continue our mission of advancing science and medicine.”
Last week, the Merck KGaA group published its quarterly financial report, revealing that Merck Serono saw year-on-year revenue growth in the last three months thanks to strong sales of products such as Rebif and Erbitux.
