Mettler Toledo launches new microbalance range

24th September 2007

Mettler Toledo has announced the launch of a range of microbalances for the automated weighing of short and narrow samples.

The UNM2 and MX5 automated microbalances are designed specifically to deal with narrow and tubular samples such as springs, tungsten wires and tubes and are the "perfect choice" for handling such bendable or small products in a manufacturing environment, reports the firm.

"Unrivalled" speed and process safety, automation compatibility and easy-to-handle data are provided by the products, Mettler Toledo states, with the UMX2 providing a 2.1 g and the MX5 offering some 5 g in capacity.

It was recently announced by the company that costumer distributor Morris Costumes – described by Mettler Toledo as the "world’s largest" supplier in its sector – was making use of the firm’s CSN810 TableTop dimensioning system to increase the efficiency of its resources.

Mettler Toledo employs over 10,000 people and specialises in the production of precision instruments for use by professionals.
