MHP Communications hired for EFPIA health outcomes project
MHP Communications has been hired to oversee a new comms programme by the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA).
The agency has been tasked with running a pan-European health outcomes programme, which will focus on how to achieve sustainable healthcare systems in all EU member states.
Specifically, the project will look at how the focus on care based on health outcomes can go beyond direct clinical results and consider the individualised needs of patients, with EFPIA seeking to leverage MHP's expertise and experience in this area.
Con Franklin, director of MHP's healthcare division, will lead the project alongside head of health Rachel Rowson. They will oversee a small team in the UK and Brussels and report to EFPIA director of communications Andy Powrie-Smith.
Mr Franklin said: "There is no greater challenge in European healthcare than securing the long-term sustainability of Member State health systems."
MHP established its dedicated global healthcare comms practice in 2013 and recently hired former health minister and Liberal Democrat politician Paul Burstow as an adviser.
