Mobilis device ‘helps relieve back pain’

14th August 2008

Mobilis has claimed one of its products provides an effective therapy for back pain.

The Painwave X4000 users electrotherapy as a potential alternative to pain relief drugs or hot and cold therapy.

Ian Lavender, who portrayed Private Pike in the hit comedy Dad’s Army, has used the device for five months to treat the back pain he has suffered from for more than 30 years after slipping of a kerb.

“The Painwave X4000 is a clinically proven technology that delivers pulse electromagnetic field therapy to treat the cause, rather than the symptoms,” the company said.

It said the device promotes healing at a cellular level and provide a natural alternative to pain-relieving medication.

The device penetrates the cell to increase oxygen usage and reduce swelling and inflammation while encouraging the release of endorphins.

Mobilis will present its products at a stand at Leisure Industry Week next month at the Birmingham NEC.
