Nalco raises prices

10th April 2008

Nalco has announced its decision to raise prices for customers in the industrial and institutional services division.

The company revealed prices would be going up for a broad range of chemical products that are part of the company’s customer solution packages.

It explained that the increases were due to a significant rise in the cost of raw materials, energy and freight – due to historically high oil prices.

The firm’s sales engineers will discuss specific impacts on customers individually, but these increases are expected to range from seven to 15 per cent in the US and Canada and will vary in other parts of the world depending on local costs.

A company statement said: "These increases are part of an ongoing process to keep prices in line with product and freight costs for Nalco programs that help customers decrease water and energy usage, boost air quality, improve end products and cut total cost of operations."

It added that customers that started paying higher prices on January 1st will not be immediately affected by this latest increase.

Nalco was founded in 1928 and claims it is the world’s leading water treatment and process improvement company.ADNFCR-1050-ID-18545376-ADNFCR
