Nalco subsidiary awarded emissions control company of the year

27th August 2009

Nalco subsidiary Nalco Mobotec has been named the emissions control company of the year by the New Economy Magazine, it has emerged.

Particular initiates that the company was praised for include the Rotating Opposed Fire Air (ROFA) staged combustion system and its ROTAMIX chemical application system.

Using the ROFA technology allows the better control of NOx, SOx, carbon dioxide and particulate matter emissions and provides fuel flexibility and the co-firing of biomass, the company pointed out.

Mark Lee, general manager of air protection technologies at Nalco, stated: "This award recognises our leadership position in the emission control market and solidifies Nalco Mobotec’s and Nalco’s commitment to developing and delivering sustainable solutions."

The New Economy Magazine’s Energy and Environment Awards highlight the achievements of firms that work towards the improvement of their sustainability efforts and environmental agendas.

Last week, Nalco announced the release of a special edition of its Water Handbook, compiled to mark the 30th anniversary of its original publication.
