Nestle reports strong growth for first nine months of 2015
Nestle has announced its financial results for the first nine months of 2015, during which it delivered a sales total of 64.9 billion euros (44.11 billion pounds).
This represented a year-on-year organic growth rate of 4.2 percent or two percent real internal growth terms. This was driven by 2.2 percent growth in developed markets and 6.8 percent in emerging regions.
Its good performance in the first half of the year was impacted in the third quarter by exceptional events such as the Maggi noodle recall in India and a rebate adjustment within the Nestle Skin Health business.
Despite this, the company's real internal growth increased, thanks to a solid performance in Europe, Latin America and North America, as well as strong results for the Nestle Waters and Nestle Health Science divisions.
Paul Bulcke, Nestle's chief executive officer, said: "We project organic growth of around 4.5 percent for the full year, with improvements in margins and underlying earnings per share in constant currencies, and capital efficiency."
