New tech agency Centropy founded by former Hotwire staffer
Centropy, a new independent business-to-business agency specialising in technology, fintech and the public sector, has been launched in London.
Steven George-Hilley has left his previous position as a board director at the tech PR agency Hotwire to establish the new business in Richmond, which is beginning with two members of staff in addition to Mr George-Hilley, reports PRWeek.
During his two-year stint with Hotwire's IT and services practice, the Centropy founder saw the team double in size to become a 26-person workforce. Prior to this, he worked for Weber Shandwick and Lewis, and was also a member of the Conservative Party's technology forum committee.
Centropy is starting with three retained clients and plans to expand rapidly by winning new clients and hiring top consultants, as well as by dedicating itself to developing creative, disruptive communications campaigns for its clients.
Mr George-Hilley said: "Centropy is a truly independent agency that will challenge the establishment's burn-and-churn model, investing heavily in our employees at all levels and relentlessly promoting meritocracy."
