Next 15 to acquire Velocity Partners and Circle Research
Next 15 has expanded the capabilities of the group with the acquisitions of Velocity Partners and Circle Research.
Velocity Partners is a business-to-business digital agency with a focus on technology clients. It was founded in 2000 by Doug Kessler and Stan Woods, both of whom will remain with the business following its acquisition.
Its client base includes multinational technology groups such as Sprint, Xerox and Informatica. Although based in the UK, the agency currently generates 70 percent of its revenues from the US.
Tim Dyson, chief executive officer of Next 15, said of the 5.9 million pound deal: “Data-driven content marketing is the fastest growing part of the marketing mix right now. This is a key area of investment for us going forward."
Meanwhile, Circle Research – a market research company founded in 2006 – will be purchased for 5.21 million pounds, broadening Next 15's data and insights offering.
Founders Andrew Dalglish and Beth Pearson will remain with the business as joint managing directors, while co-founder David Willan will step down as chairman, although he will continue to support the business in an advisory capacity.
