NHS Blood and Transplant seeks new digital agency

10th April 2014

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking to appoint a new digital agency partner, with roster agencies having already been contacted about the brief.

The organisation, which supplies blood and organs to hospitals in England and North Wales, is already inviting agencies to submit proposals, though pitches are yet to take place, reports Campaign.

Management of the pitching process is being handled by the Crown Commercial Service. Prior to this, NHS Blood and Transplant most recently worked with DLKW Lowe, resulting in the launch of an online and radio campaign in the lead-up to Christmas 2013.

Abbott Mead Vickers BBDO previously handled the NHS body's above-the-line advertising, a relationship that ran from 2009 to 2011. It released an organ donation campaign that included an online game and an emotive TV spot.

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a new agency partner as it reportedly prepares to pilot a scheme offering liver transplants to patients with alcohol-related illnesses. The organisation will also be appointing a new chief executive officer, Ian Trenholm, this summer.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-801711513-ADNFCR
