NHS Blood and Transplant seeks partner for new campaign

5th October 2017

NHS Blood and Transplant is seeking a new PR agency partner to help support its forthcoming marketing activities.

The organisation has issued a creative, media and PR brief for its upcoming blood and organ donation activity, the aim of which will be to encourage more people to donate blood or organs to help improve and save lives, reports Campaign.

The tender will be open to all agencies on the government's roster and will be handled by the Crown Commercial Service, with Ceri Rose, assistant director for digital and marketing at NHS Blood and Transplant, overseeing the process.

A spokesman for NHS Blood and Transplant said: "We have decided to extend our public relations contract to be a strategic creative partner as we develop our two established campaigns: 'Save a life. Give blood' and 'Yes I donate. Organ Donation'."

Several agencies currently work on the account including 23 Red and Engine, which was responsible for creating the award-winning Missing Type campaign for blood donation.

This campaign saw numerous high-profile companies dropping the letters A, O and B from their branding to highlight the need for donations of these blood types.
