Nobel Biocare and KaVo Kerr launch new DTX Studio digital platform

6th April 2017

Nobel Biocare has announced details of the imminent launch of DTX Studio, the digital platform for dental practice management it has developed alongside KaVo Kerr.

DTX Studio is designed to offer a unified digital platform connecting diagnostics and treatment for dental patients, allowing clinicians, radiologists, operators, assistants, hygienists and dental technicians to access the same system from multiple rooms within the practice.

This modular solution utilises an open framework to connect not only to KaVo imaging devices, but also to allow images to be imported from any X-ray device, intraoral scanner or desktop scanner.

The system has also been designed to facilitate the visualisation of critical information for precise implant planning, while its design module combines powerful CAD tools with an intuitive interface.

Dr Pascal Kunz, vice-president for digital dentistry product management at Nobel Biocare, said: "Many dental companies claim to offer open, fully integrated workflows, but DTX Studio sets a new standard by truly connecting the various aspects of a modern dental professional's daily work."

The DTX Studio platform will be launched commercially this autumn.
