Nobel Biocare announces executive changes

1st December 2010

Nobel Biocare has published details of several new appointments at the top level of the company, with Bill Ryan reverting to his original role as an adviser to the chief executive.

Melker Nilsson is due to succeed Mr Ryan as president and general manager of the dental company's North American operation in January 2011, while also taking his position as a member of Nobel Biocare's executive committee.

The new year will also see Mike Thompson become senior vice-president and general manager for Asia Pacific at the company.

Mr Thompson has agreed to join Nobel Biocare from Pfizer and will succeed Tom Olsen when he begins his new role on January 1st.

Meanwhile, Jorg von Manger-Koenig has been appointed as the firm's new head of legal and compliance.

"These appointments, of individuals that have a strong track record and the necessary experience in the dental field, demonstrate our successful succession planning," said Domenico Scala, chief executive of Nobel Biocare.

In October, the company announced that executive vice president of key account management Robert Gottlander will leave Nobel Biocare in May 2011.ADNFCR-8000103-ID-800266574-ADNFCR
