Nobel Biocare appoints new head of global operations

21st October 2009

Nobel Biocare – a firm which manufactures dental instruments – has appointed a new head of its global operations – Ernst Zangerle.

Additionally, Mr Zangerle has been instated as a member of the firm’s executive committee and takes up this role with immediate effect upon resigning his current position on the company’s board of directors.

He replaces Mathias Krebs, who has moved on to another assignment within the organisation.

Before taking up his post with Nobel Biocare, Mr Zangerle worked in supply chain management and operations at several leading watch manufacturers and possesses a degree in mechanical engineering and economics, which he acquired from the Konstanz University of Applied Sciences.

Explaining the new head of global operations’ role in the company’s progression, chief executive officer Domenico Scala said: “Ernst Zangerle has been instrumental in helping Nobel Biocare to realise significant improvements in operations this year.”

In August, Nobel Biocare posted its financial results for the first half of 2009, revealing that its gross profit during this period reached 240.9 million euros (210.3 million pounds).
