Nobel Biocare launches new abutment range

21st June 2010

Nobel Biocare has launched a new range of CAD/CAM dental abutments which function with a wide variety of major implant systems.

The NobelProcera abutments are designed for use with Nobel Biocare’s own platforms, as well as those from other major manufacturers such as Straumann and Astra Tech.

Among the highlighted benefits of the abutments are their high manufacturing quality, using biocompatible materials such as zirconia and titanium which have undergone rigorous testing, in accordance with industry standards.

They are designed to offer high quality esthetics and long-term tissue health, protecting against bacterial infection while remaining stable.

The company added: “NobelProcera abutments for Nobel Biocare and non-Nobel Biocare implant platforms meet all standards for accuracy and precision of fit.”

According to the company’s most recent financial report in April 2010, Nobel Biocare saw its net profits increase by 114.3 per cent year-on-year during the first quarter of 2010, due to its programme of regulating “pricing and cost discipline”.
