Nobel Biocare launches new KaVo LS 3 desktop scanner
Nobel Biocare has announced the launch of a newly expanded CAD/CAM offering designed to provide greater flexibility and connectivity between treatment partners.
The new KaVo LS 3 desktop scanner allows complete jaw scans to be performed in under 60 seconds, with an accuracy of up to four micrometres, even in complex cases. It features an optical system that captures fine textures and colours, while scans can be managed directly at the scanner itself using an intuitive five-inch touchscreen.
It has been designed to seamlessly interact with DTX Studio design software, allowing 2D and 3D data from X-ray and optical sources to be managed using a single software solution.
DTX Studio can process data in dentistry-relevant workspaces and is geared towards daily use, and is able to accept intraoral scan files from systems such as Trios, iTero, 3M and Carestream Dental, as well as files from other desktop scanners.
Hans Geiselhoringer, president of Nobel Biocare, said: "Following the digital treatment journey with DTX a single, central hub enables the speed, efficiency and streamlined workflows that are crucial in meeting and exceeding the expectations of customers and patients alike."
