Nobel Biocare launches new Trefoil edentulous treatment solution

Nobel Biocare has announced the launch of Trefoil, a new full-arch solution for edentulous treatment.

Presented at the 2017 annual scientific meeting of the European Association for Osseointegration, the Trefoil system allows fixed, definitive, full-arch restorations of the mandible to be completed in one day.

It features a pre-manufactured titanium bar and a new fixation mechanism that compensates for deviations in implant placement, all of which facilitates passive fitting. Additionally, its optimised workflow and componentry enables shorter time-to-teeth and reduced chair time.

Results from a five-year clinical study evaluating the Trefoil system showed that Nobel Biocare's new offering can deliver high implant and prosthetic survival rates, minor marginal bone remodelling, and high levels of satisfaction at all follow-up assessments.
